Based in Amsterdam, Fonterra Europe is a true regional hub that employs a diverse and international team, providing sales, marketing and customer support to some of the world’s largest dairy, food and nutrition companies. Developing their own dairy innovations, using a combination of technical expertise and market knowledge, they successfully export New Zealand products to the world, as well as products from their own state-of-the-art factory in Heerenveen. Fonterra Europe supplies 28 countries in the EU and UK, and exports 45kMT to other regions to support Fonterra’s global portfolio.
Maarten van de Poll will start working as the new Sales Director for the Europe region. Maarten has extensive experience in the international world of dairy. During his career at FrieslandCampina he took commercial responsibility for the Africa region. Subsequently, he was responsible for sales in China, Japan and Australia before moving on to director positions in North America and Canada. In recent years, as sales director for cheese and industry, he has focused on growth outside and within Europe.
