Leendert-Jan Plaisier has been appointed Chief Operational Officer (COO) at Royal FloraHolland as of 1 December. As COO, he is part of the Management Team. Leendert-Jan Plaisier (47) has more than twenty years’ experience in logistics. He is currently Director Logistic Solutions Benelux at PostNL. Since 1997, he has held various positions in logistics and in e-commerce at PostNL and TNT Post in the Netherlands, the Benelux and in Germany.
Leendert-Jan explains his decision to move: ‘PostNL is a fantastic company and I really enjoyed working there. The move to Royal FloraHolland is very appealing because of its complex operational process and exciting change agenda with programmes such as 100% Digital and National Auction. It is going to be a wonderful challenge to work with commerce, operations and support departments and bear final responsibility for a successful transformation. And I also love their pride of the product of flowers and plants and the down-to-earth mentality in the industry. The next few years will be important for Royal FloraHolland to further strengthen its position with growers and buyers of flowers and plants. I’m keen to use my experience and capabilities to achieve this together.’
