In education, the skills of the teacher are the focus of attention: no unqualified teachers, but highly trained professionals in front of the class. Other current themes: increasing digitisation, attention to study results and (in higher education) a more important role for participation. For many years, Maes & Lunau has worked for a variety of educational institutions.
After several incidents, housing associations are trying to reinvent themselves. The emphasis is back on their core task: providing good, affordable housing. Meanwhile, tenants have more influence and municipalities also play an important role in reaching performance agreements. There is a need for a new generation of directors and supervisors, with a feeling for transparency and accountability.
